Latvia Tourism Promotion Meeting and Enterprises Docking Meeting held in Lee House

In the morning of October the 13th, sponsored by Latvia Investment Development Agency and Ningbo Municipal Government, the Latvia Tourism Promotion Meeting and Enterprises Docking Meeting were held in Laowaitan International Talents Community Lee House. The Deputy Mayor of Ningbo Li Guanding, the Deputy Director of Ningbo Tourism Bureau Zhou Mingli, the Deputy Director of Ningbo Foreign Affairs Office Chen Guomiao, the Deputy Director of Ningbo Commission of Commerce Han Jun, the Jiangbei District Deputy Director Zheng Mingjun and other leaders attended the meeting. In addition, the Delegation of Latvia Government and Enterprises and Representatives of Ningbo tourism companies also participated. The meeting was presided over by Kang Linsi, Director of Latvia Investment Development Agency in China, and the leaders of both China and Latvia respectively made speeches.


In recent years, Ningbo is actively promoting tourism, trade and other aspects of cooperation with Latvia. In June 2014, Ningbo and Latvia Ventspils started friendship relations. Latvia Investment Development Agency’s Ningbo Representative Office and the Central and Eastern European Countries commodities exhibition Latvia pavilion was unveiled last June, during the second Central and Eastern Europe Expo. Latvia is located in the east coast of the Baltic Sea, characterized by a beautiful environment and rich in tourism resources, during the promotion meeting the leader of Latvia Investment Development Tourism Department made a comprehensive introduction about the local characteristics of tourism industry, the beautiful scenery and the magnificent landscape deeply attracted all the guests.


After the promotion, the tourism industry related enterprises from both the two countries also carried out docking. We hope that through this promotion and docking, in the future, Ningbo and Latvia can further expand cooperation in economy, trade, tourism, culture and other aspects.
